About The Project
Who will be this year's Polish blind tennis champion, and who will have to sit out? Everything will be decided on May 20-21 on the courts of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Toruń.
For three years, blind and visually impaired fans of the white sport from all over the country have been testing their skills during a nationwide tournament. This year's edition has been officially recognized as a Polish championship for the first time and will be held under the auspices of the Polish Tennis Association.
The 4th National Blind Tennis Tournament RACKETS ATNiS is an event during which 40 blind and visually impaired tennis players will meet to fight for the podium. The event, organized by the Widzimy Inaczej Foundation, will start on Saturday, May 20 at 10:00. The games will last until Sunday, May 21, until approximately 18:00. They will be held on the MOSiR courts in Toruń, at ul. Szosa Chełmińska 75.
Where to watch?
Anyone who comes to the courts can cheer on the blind tennis players, but the audience is asked to remain silent so that the players can more easily concentrate on the sound of the ball. The games can also be followed online, because the event will be streamed.
The link will be provided no later than the day before the tournament on the website of the Widzimy Inaczej Foundation and on the Widzimy Inaczej fanpage on Facebook .
The project "IV National Blind Tennis Tournament RACKETS ATNiS" is co-financed by the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons.
